Fifa 17 Liverpool Players Ratings Predictions: Firmino/Karius/Coutinho
TAG: FIFA 17 Player Rating 7/29/2016 9:00:39 AM
it is proved to be a very up-and-down season for the reds, who came on leaps and bounds under jurgen klopp but struggled to find any kind of consistency.
losing the europa league final against sevilla was a devastating way to end the season, but there are still plenty of reasons to feel very positive about the future. in this summer, liverpool has gotten some exciting signings, and following some top-class reds players will be shine in next season. here is our fifa 17 liverpool players ratings predictions, featuring
emre can: 75 -> 76
german midfielder can spent the first months of the season under rodgers operating in an unnatural defensive role, with the ulsterman opting for a three-man defence as he looked to cling on to his position as manager.
joe allen: 77 -> 79
joe allen's season barely got going until december, but a brilliant performance in the 6-1 win at southampton in the league cup quarter-final was a sign of things to come. joe allen has spent much of his liverpool player performing a bit-part role, filling in when required and expected to perform to a high standard at short notice.
nathaniel clyne: 81 -> 81
coutinho was awarded liverpool’s player of the season and player’s player of the season awards at the club’s end-of-season ceremony in may, and the brazilian’s match-winning displays and important goals arguably back up these honours. the 24-year-old rarely fell below a seven-out-of-10 level and provided a welcome solution to what had been a problem area for the reds for many seasons.
sadio mane: 78 -> 80
mane is the third biggest transfer in liverpool's history. only andy carroll and christian benteke have cost more but neither of those produced sustained performances befitting their price tags and mane needs to show he can buck the trend.
mamadou sakho: 81 -> 82
the frenchman's campaign ended in april, which served as a bitter blow to klopp, with sakho showcasing his talents as liverpool's strongest centre-back throughout 2015/16, including a number of excellent displays in the league.
alberto moreno: 79 -> 77
the much-maligned spaniard still has plenty of doubters, especially after his europa league final nightmare, and he failed to impress in general. he started brightly under klopp, having been left out in favour of joe gomez by rodgers, but there simply weren’t enough standout displays, both in a defensive and an attacking sense.
jordan henderson: 79 -> 79
it was a frustrating season for the liverpool captain, who never found his top level in a campaign wrecked by injuries. there were a few trademark henderson performances that emerged around christmas, against west brom, leicester and arsenal, but more often than not, his influence was lacking.
adam lallana: 80 -> 80
lallana finished the season with four goals and six assists in 30 league games, with two star performances in wins over manchester city underlining his quality in a fluid forward line, shining alongside roberto firmino and philippe coutinho.
daniel sturridge: 83 -> 83
that sturridge was only able to take part in 14 league games for liverpool in 2015/16 shows the extent of the striker's injury problems. sturridge ended the season as liverpool's third-highest goalscorer in the league, with eight goals in 14 games, providing a reminder of the world-class ability that makes persevering with his fitness problems worthwhile.
philippe coutinho: 84 -> 85
twenty-three-year-old brazilian playmaker coutinho enjoyed his most prolific season to date in front of goal, with eight league strikes, but it was his performances as the reds’ creative talisman, that reinforced his rise to prominence in a new era at anfield.
roberto firmino: 82 -> 83
firmino really struggled to adapt to life in the premier league at first, and it wasn’t helped by the fact that rodgers was playing him out of position. klopp was a fan of the 24-year-old during his time in germany, though, and he helped him improve hugely as the weeks went by.
loris karius: 79 -> 81
the german 22-year-old who has become liverpool's second confirmed arrival of the summer. karius played every game of the 2015/16 season for mainz, keeping nine clean sheets in the process as they finished sixth in the bundesliga.
